How to calculate percentage change? (The Slay Method)
If you want to do the math yourself (though why would you when we have this engine?), the formula is simple:
((New Value - Old Value) / |Old Value|) × 100
- Step 1Find the absolute difference by subtracting the OG value from the New value.
- Step 2Divide that difference by the absolute OG value. No negatives allowed here!
- Step 3Multiply by 100 to get your final percentage. Slayed it.
